Latvian Nature & Sauna Ritual

Latvia is one of the greenest countries in Europe, with forests covering more than half of the territory. For centuries Latvians have maintained a strong connection with nature, and one of the most authentic traditions is the countryside sauna ritual.

Participants travel outside the city to a peaceful rural setting where a traditional wooden sauna awaits. Local sauna masters guide guests through the ritual – including herbal steam, birch whisk massages and refreshing dips in a lake or river.
